00 — Before You Register

MISSION
BRIEFING.

READ THIS FIRST.
Every team must complete these 2 deliverables before registering
01
Deliverable One
PREPARE YOUR PPT.

Create a PowerPoint presentation of 10–12 slides that explains your idea clearly and concisely. Think of this as your pitch deck — the judges will review it before the hackathon to shortlist teams.

01
Title Slide — Team name, track, problem statement
02
Problem — What pain point are you solving?
03
Existing Solutions — What's out there and why it falls short
04–05
Your Approach — How your GenAI solution works
06–07
Architecture — System design, AWS services used
08
Tech Stack — Languages, frameworks, APIs
09
Demo / Mockup — Wireframes or prototype screenshots
10
Impact — Who benefits and how you measure success
11
Timeline — What you'll build in 24 hours
12
Team — Members, roles, and relevant experience
📄
Format
.ppt or .pptx only. No PDFs, no Google Slides links.
📏
Size Limit
Maximum 10 MB. Compress images if needed.
🎯
Slides
10–12 slides. No more, no less. Quality over quantity.
02
Deliverable Two
BUILD YOUR WEBSITE.

Create a simple website (max 2 pages) that presents your idea in a richer, more interactive way than the PPT. This is your chance to show the judges you can actually build things — and explain your solution with more depth.

  • Maximum 2 pages — a landing page and one detail page
  • Must be hosted and accessible via a public URL (GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify — anything works)
  • Content should be specific to your chosen problem statement
  • Include your proposed solution, how it works, and why it matters
  • Show wireframes, mockups, or a prototype if you have one
  • Mention the AWS services you plan to use and why
  • Keep it clean, functional, and easy to navigate — design matters
WHAT GOES ON THE WEBSITE?
The content depends on your problem statement. If you're building an automated incident triage system, explain how incidents flow through your system. If you're building a FinOps tool, show sample cost dashboards. The website should make a judge think: "These folks actually understand the problem."

Don't just repeat your PPT slides as a webpage. Add depth — interactive elements, diagrams, user flows.
🌐
Hosting
Must be live on a public URL. Free hosting is fine — GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify, etc.
📐
Page Limit
Max 2 pages. A focused landing page + one detail page.
Strict Limit
🎨
Design
Clean and functional. This is a hackathon — we value substance, but presentation counts too.
03
